Residual Waste Program
The residual waste program regulates the generation, storage, transportation, processing, beneficial use, composting, and disposal of residual waste (nonhazardous industrial waste).
The Division of Municipal and Residual Waste:
- Develops regulations on residual waste management;
- Develops
General Permits for the
Beneficial Use of residual waste;
- Provides guidance on
Permitting and compliance monitoring of residual waste generators, permit-by-rule facilities, treatment facilities, storage facilities, surface impoundment facilities, incinerators, and land disposal facilities.
The Regional Solid Waste Management Programs:
- Issue permits;
- Perform inspections; and
- Enforce regulations.
