On August 1, 2019, DEP approved Cecil Township’s scope of work for the Muse-Bishop Road site submitted by the Township on April 12, 2019. The scope of work was drafted in 2017 but submitted more recently as part of the township’s request under the Industrial Sites Reuse Program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Cecil Township submitted a letter of intent to DCED on November 1, 2018.
On February 7, 2018, DEP received a Notice of Intent to Remediate (NIR) the property per the January 8, 2018 agreement.
On January 8, 2018, DEP entered into a Consent Order and Agreement (COA) with ABB Inc. and Cecil Township to remediate the former C.E. Cast property in Cecil Township. This COA also serves as a Buyer-Seller Agreement for the property.
The COA/Buyer-Seller Agreement references and incorporates several environmental investigation reports* provided to DEP.
