Introduction:
This listing of laboratories identifies those facilities, which as of the date of this website, meet the criteria to be designated a qualified laboratory by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to perform analyses in Pennsylvania, under the Small Operator Assistance Program (SOAP).
The laboratories listed have met the requirements for their chosen analytical field as specified by the Laboratory Accreditation Program in Pennsylvania. The program requirements, as contained in 25 Pa Code Chapter 252, are designed to ensure that measurements of contaminants in water are scientifically valid. Since laboratories are re-evaluated throughout the year, changes may occur in their approval status as listed. A complete, undated listing will be prepared and made available at least annually.
