Captive Hazardous Waste Treatment Storage and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs)

Captive hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities are permitted to store, treat and dispose of hazardous waste generated on-site. A captive facility is one that is permitted to store, treat and/or dispose hazardous wastes that they generate. Permitted captive hazardous waste facilities in Pennsylvania generated approximately 32,528 tons of hazardous waste and managed about 25,369 tons (78%) of their hazardous waste generated on-site in 2021.
